“Life Goes On!” Series Part 2 – “Children in Wartime”
Oil Painting on Cotton Canvas, Size 11 x14
Description: The Vietnamese are very Family Oriented. They adore and cherish their children. I found even the orphans were always taken in. I saw No destitute kids in the streets looking for handouts even in the slums of Saigon. Remember, South Vietnam is the Rice Bowl of Asia so there was plenty of food to go around. Regardless, all the children I witnessed were well cared for whether in the cities or the bush. Most of all, everywhere you looked you found the youthful SMILES that you couldn’t help but translate to a BRIGHT FUTURE for the next generation.
They were adorable and I will always remember them that way.
